Biography

My name is Tim Winslow and I am running for state representative in the 89th District.  I grew up in Spring Lake, Michigan and just recently returned two years ago after graduating from Vermont Law School.  I attended the University of Michigan after graduating from Spring Lake High School and attained a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.  I then went on to law school where I took many courses in environmental law.

For most of the last two years, I have been struggling as a licensed attorney to find a permanent job in Michigan since the last election when I ran as an independent candidate for state representative.  I know that many others in Michigan have struggled as well with high gas and food prices along with higher unemployment.  We need leaders that understand the concerns of the people rather than the concerns of only a few interest groups or political partisanship.  We need leaders that bring innovative and creative ideas to solve not only our economic problems but also our problems with energy, healthcare, and the environment.  We need leaders that are going to get things accomplished in Lansing.
