Alleviating the Tax Burden on Small Businesses

A major part of Michigan’s economic recovery plan should focus on small businesses. Small businesses want to remain in Michigan and expand here so we should concentrate on giving them more of our tax breaks rather than larger corporations. We can do this by either gearing more of our tax breaks towards smaller businesses or by making our business tax progressive. Michigan can also help smaller businesses gain access to capital by forming a small business stock exchange. The stock exchange will better allow people to invest in small businesses, which will in turn help small businesses gain access to capital. These ideas will help our small businesses maintain and expand here in Michigan.
